Whitecurrant
'Versailles Blanche' |
| An early
cropping whitecurrant, which produces long, heavy trusses of
pale yellow fruits. These appear early in the season, so are
ready to pick in early July and have a pleasantly sweet
flavour. It is a very reliable cropper, and will provide a
good yield year after year. Because of its many good features,
it has become one of the most popular varieties available. |

White Currant 'White Pearl' |
| White
Currants 'White Pearl' (Ribes Rubrum) are low-maintenance
plants that are undemanding as to soil type, so they can be
grown in any garden. Nothing is tastier than freshly picked
currants in summer. They are so healthy and nutritious. White

deliciously sweet flavour. The currants can be harvested in
July. Height supplied 30-40 cm. |

White Currant x 5 plants |
| White
currant berries are a bit smaller and sweeter than red
currants. Although white currants seem to be used less in
cooking than their red counterparts, and more for eating raw,
white currant jellies, wines and syrups are not unheard of.
The white currant is actually an albino cultivar of the
redcurrant, but is marketed as a different fruit. |
